Cesena Campus

The Cesena Campus Chapter brings together the community of students and Alumni of the degree programmes offered at the Cesena Campus, at the Cesena, Cesenatico and Tebano sites. The Chapter is also open to students and Alumni of other degree programmes residing in the Cesena area or simply interested in events on the Cesena Campus. The Chapter’s main objectives are to build a network that facilitates communication among Alumni, following on from their university careers, by providing opportunities for socialising and meeting up, conferences, seminars and services and opportunities for lifelong learning.

The Chapter Leader

Hello, I am Cristian Trovato, the leader of the Cesena Campus Chapter.

I was born in Catania and, after completing secondary school, I moved to Cesena where I graduated in Biomedical Engineering at the Campus. I subsequently completed a PhD degree in Computational Biology at the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford.

I was a researcher at Oxford until spring 2022. I currently work at the pharmaceutical company Pfizer.

Alongside my life as an academic, I was also socially active, participating in the activities of student associations and student representation on the Cesena Campus. At Oxford, on the other hand, I was president of the Oxford University Italian Society.

The same spirit led me to take part in the ambitious project of the Almae Matris Alumni Association, of which I am also a Board Member.
