It-ER - Attracting, retaining and connecting international talent 

The project of the Emilia-Romagna Region includes a range of services and initiatives aimed at international talent, providing guidance and support to individuals and their families to facilitate research and career paths within the region.      

The initiative is aimed at people who: 

- reside in another country 

- have an international background and reside in Emilia-Romagna 

- were born and educated in Emilia-Romagna and now live abroad

The IT-ER platform was created as a tool to provide information to guide international talents step by step through their integration process in the region.     

You can browse the platform to gather practical information on how to apply for a visa, what housing solutions are available, regional healthcare coverage, tax breaks, support for businesses and start-ups, or even to learn more about the social and working environment in each individual province. Alternatively, users can receive personalised information about services by completing a brief questionnaire. 

The Guide 

The IT-ER Guide offers a clear and comprehensive overview of all the services already available in the region to facilitate the process, step by step, from relocation to integration into the local ecosystem. The Guide is arranged into four macro-categories: Moving to, Living in, Setting up and Getting involved, which reflect the different phases a person may find themselves in, from the decision to relocate to the integration of the entire family unit.
